The Boathouse Theatre is located on the northern bank of the Taylor River, at the confluence of the Taylor and Opawa rivers in central Blenheim.

Vehicle access is via Horton Street off State Highway 1, and there is a large unformed parking area behind the old Cuddons buildings. Turn off SH1 at the "skatie park", drive past the northern wall of the Wadsco HT workshops and follow the Opawa River bank till stopped by the Taylor River stopbank.
